Trains Running - Easter Monday (28/03/2016)

Today we had 3 locos running from 12:00 until 15:30. The sun came in and out through out the day and stayed cool though we encountered the odd bit of drizzle.  The best runner in my opinion was Norman's 3 1/2" Alco Mountaineer as I'm a fan of narrow gauge locomotives. We also had a look at a future diesel runner built by Tim Hines which did a few successful laps of the track

Trains Running - Easter Sunday (27/03/2016)

The weather didn't really help the running today but the Class 47 sprung into action as soon as the first passengers came through the gate! Matthew took the first lot of passengers around which set a steady pace for the early afternoon period. Paul and Steve came on at about 1:30pm and the passengers disappeared and took the sun with them! In true North British style, Mr Malin fought off the rain and both Steve and Paul kept the trains running as the passengers arrived until we finished for the afternoon.
